Project Background and Location:

In September 2024, the eagerly anticipated moment arrives for students of the Peace Wapiti Public School Division as they step into the bright halls of their brand-new Junior K-8 school, marking a significant milestone for their educational journey. This state-of-the-art facility, nestled on the Five Mile Hall site, stands as a beacon of progress, replacing the beloved Harry Balfour School with a modern, purpose-built environment.

Xenali Inc., who provided all school lockers, collaborated alongside the visionary guidance of Start Architecture and the skilled craftsmanship and leadership of Aman Builders, who constructed the facility.

Designed with meticulous attention to detail, the new school embodies the spirit of collaboration, with vibrant colors and layouts that reflect the diverse input of the school design committee. Drawing inspiration from the success of Whispering Ridge, the layout strikes a harmonious balance between functionality and aesthetics, creating an inviting atmosphere conducive to learning and growth.

Xenali’s Participation: Supply Chain and Project Management

Project Management

Xenali assigned a team that consisted of dedicated project manager, and site-services manager to successfully deliver to our commitments.

Supply Chain Management

Xenali’s responsibility included all procurement related logistics up to onsite delivery and installation.

Project Staging and Delivery Logistics

Xenali committed to a JIT delivery at site.  Our team was responsible to validating receipt of products, delivery to each of the floor-levels and for deployment into each of rooms

Safety

This was a live construction-site, so Xenali utilized our Project Management protocol to ensure safe operation of our team as well as safe coordination with the other trades that operated on site.

Quality Control

Using our Supply Chain Engagement model, Xenali incorporated various checkpoints, most relate to validation and revalidation.  We revalidate design specifications, schedules, packaging/staging requirements, installation of materials, and validation of final installation layout.  Pre-stage and post-stage documentation minimized rework, minimized impact to schedule and tracked deficiencies.
